First I would like to thank everyone who commented on my blog, I'm glad, my articles make difference to you. Hope to hear more from you again.
Beauty treatments are very popular among women and men, so to be satisfied and stay safe we all need to gain certain level of knowledge on the subject.
WAXING is one of the basic treatments we all undergo sometimes. But there are facts that not many of us know about.
*Basic piece of knowledge is that the hair that grow on our skin is not at the same growth stage at given time, so it is impossible to remove the hair and have legs smooth for up to 6 weeks (as many epilator ads say). The hair will regrow at different time and we will see some of them after even few days and some will start growing after weeks.
*Another thing we need to remember is that during waxing our skin need to be covered with very thin layer of wax according to direction of the hair growth and removed against the hair growth. With the wax a thin layer of the skin will be removed as well, so the beautician should never use the wax more than twice on the same spot!
Here's some guide for you:
1. Make sure, you exfoliate your skin about 2 days before treatment -it removes dead skin cells and gets all little hair from underneath it (for best results use exfoliating gloves).
2. Moisturise your skin properly -your skin will be stronger and smoother and you won't get damage from waxing.
3. Never wax your skin if you have:
-fresh scars (up to 6 months)
-moles/warts/cold sores (always go around it)
4. Beautician should:
-sanitise her hands
-use pre-wax cleansing product to remove oils and clean your skin
-use talc all over your skin -it protects the skin from damage and makes the treatment less uncomfortable.
-remove single not removed hairs with sanitised tweezers
-never apply wax more than twice to the same area (to prevent skin damage)
Remember never have any waxing during your period as you can be much more sensitive and don't wait with next waxing more than 4 weeks as the hair grow not only upwards, but also deeper inside your skin, so the longer you wait the more discomfort you will have.
5. Within 24 hrs after waxing:
-don't do anything involving heat (hot bath, shower, sauna, sunbeds or sunbathing)
-don't go to swimming pool (chlorine can irritate your skin)
-don't have spray tan (solution will go in to open pores and you'll look like a ladybird)
-don't use perfumes or perfumed soaps and lotions
Best not to do anything until next day... :-)
That's all for today. Your comments are welcome and please share your experiences with me too. Take care and be safe!
